A year ago we were commissioned by Future Focused Finance as part of the Great Place to Work action area. In partnership with FFF we have developed the first ever framework which describes the characteristics required for Director of Finance positions in the NHS. The characteristics framework has been well received during sharing and consultation sessions with different groups, including networks of Chief Executives and Audit Committee Chairs. The framework will be used as part of the National Talent Pool which has been established to support aspiring finance leaders to become Finance Directors and Chief Finance Officers. See more here.
The framework has also been developed for individuals aspiring to become Directors of Finance to map their current position and to highlight the areas where they need to gain more experience to take those next steps towards becoming a Director of Finance, which you can see more of here.
