In January, the taught element of our programme concluded with an inspiring and buzzing Presentation Event. Over 25 senior leaders have completed the programme and shown their innovation and creativity in presentations and posters showing their learning and projects.
The range of projects, all of which will make a positive impact on residents lives, include finance, parks, integrated health and social care, Leisure Services, Children and Adults' Services to name but a few. The context for local government is a challenging one, and one that requires investment in leadership.
David Parr, the Chief Executive, stated that it would be easy when money is tight to not invest, but that this is absolutely the right thing to do - to develop leaders and support them in their roles. The delegates are now all working on their ILM assignments.
“We have been hugely impressed by the standard of projects, and also by the commitment of the delegates, who have been brilliant to work with” says Jackie Barringer, who directed the programme.
Jackie led the Prospect team delivering the programme, which included Donna Bradshaw, Matt Worden, Su Fowler Johnson and Richard Cottier. Evaluations on every measure were over 90% very good and excellent.
