Prospect delivered a three day High Impact Influencing programme for NHSE Senior Leaders. 16 NHSE Senior Leaders have now completed the second cohort of the programme in Leeds.
The final workshop focused on negotiation, conflict and social leadership. All delegates were provided with a set of power cards - each card identifying a type of power. Delegates discussed the ways power is used or misused, and explored how empowerment and influence are exerted with integrity to achieve positive change.
The Senior Leaders on the programme came from a diverse range of backgrounds - pharmacy, IT, clinical, finance and commissioning but one thing they all had in common was that their roles were ever expanding and complex, often covering signifiant geographies.
Their ability to influence through others and when they can’t be physically present attracted a lot of discussion. Programme evaluations are being summarised but it looks like the excellent evaluations from cohort one will be repeated.
